It’s here! It’s finally here! Summertime! Although the hot weather has yet to arrive, the forecast does show some sunshine in the up and coming future so that’s definitely getting me in the mood! After a hefty weekend of work this week I finally get some time to myself and relish in the thoughts of beach trips with the girls and road trips with the family. Along with these thoughts came ones which led me to what I would wear during all these adventures and staples for this summer season…
Must have #1: Flowy dress or Romper
I don’t know about you readers, but after a long day of work all I want to do is throw on something comfy and easy but that is still effortlessly classy. Long wishlist, I know. But, fear not, this usually leads me to a romper or flowy dress. Something I can move in. Feel free in. Plus it’s basically a whole outfit with one item!
Must have #2: BB/CC cream
If you read BB, CC & DD, you know there are minor differences between the beauty correcting creams in the industry so take your pick because these are very good for those days you want to work on your tan and you feel like your foundation may prevent your face from reaching that goal.. I know I’ve been there.
Must have #3: Straw Hat
Excellent for the beach and stylish for the city. These babies are on my wishlist!
Must have #4: Nude Sandals
Vanessa rocked these in a past post and proves they go with just about anything making them a must have for this season be it in a heel, a wedge or open-toed sandal.
Must have #5: Maxi skirt
This has been my favorite piece of clothing all spring. There are so many different ways to wear this one item that it makes it ideal for traveling!
Must have #6: Colorful or Bright Clutch
When you find yourself craving some color in your outfit, a bright clutch may just be the answer. Pair it with some nude sandals and you’re summer ready 😉
Must have #7: Stunner shades
Those road trips would get pretty hard on the eyes if it weren’t for the darling invention of sunglasses. I love to wear these all year round because they really complete an outfit! I usually pair the cat-eye sunglasses, and others of the like, with more polished looks, whereas the aviators fair well with my relaxed outfits.
Must have #8: Coral
This is the hot color of the summer this year and for good reason. Anyone can rock it either as a lipstick, a dress, or for those who enjoy a subtle pop of color, as a shoe.
Must have #9: Mint
Pastels in general and mint in particular are one of our returning favorites. These shades add a femininity to an outfit and contrast very well with black leather pieces.
Must have #10: Colorful shorts
Bringing the colored jean trend into the summer season, colored shorts liven up a simple shorts and tee outfit.
Happy Monday! 😀
