April Favourites

This year has been crazy, in more ways than one, and I feel like I have barely had time to myself, to really just enjoy time on my own. This is no way means I’ve hated being busy, let’s be real, I love having a busy schedule, it gives me a purpose to my day. But, since school has been done for the summer, it’s given me a chance to spend some quality time to myself, and pamper myself, which has resulted in some new favourites for the month of April.

The first thing I need to talk about is this mask. I cannot rave about it enough. I know I posted it on Instagram, and that was for a good reason. I try to use it once a week, but if my skin is feeling a little more dull or congested than usual, I will grab this, leave it on until it dries and once I wash it off, my skin looks great! I’m no longer embarrassed to have no-makeup days, and I think this mask had a big part in that

I decided to give these Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads by Nip + Fab, and man was it a great decision on my part. I was having a bit of texture on my forehead, using these pads every night has really helped to clear that up. Not just that, but it has helped to brighten my skin and has helped with some dark spots that I had. It is so great for the price point!

As many of you may know, I have combination skin, and I regularly struggle with making sure that my skin stays relatively matte all day long. I love to wear my MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation, and I think the translucent powder really helps to set the makeup and gives me a flawless finish that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else, plus it really helps to keep my skin matte all day.

For Spring I like to keep my lipstick fresh, fun and like to stay within the berry-pink hues. MAC Plumful completely fits the bill. It’s definitely a classic for a reason, and it just screams Spring to me. I pair it with a shimmery eyeshadow on the lid, mascara, pink blush, cream bronzer. The look is fresh for spring and really makes it a classic look.

Now lets take a quick minute for this bronzer. I have been so impressed with it! It is so hard to find a bronzer that works with my pale skin in the Fall and Winter months. It isn’t too orange, so gives you the appearance of some natural colour when realistically you haven’t had a tan in at least four months. Plus, this bronzer is matte, so you can definitely wear it everyday, and the colour will look natural.
